Past Employment

Fairwinds Credit Union – Loan Officer, part-time Trainer.

Mears Transportation – Bus Driver, Trainer.

American History Teacher for Seminole Community College – Adult High School.

Arming Teachers – Against – Too many possibilities of something going wrong and they did NOT sign up for this duty.

Discipline – Increase especially in middle schools. In favor of public works for punishment. Pick up trash outdoors, clean up lunch room, cleaning bathrooms, etc.

Paperwork – The state and federal governments demand tracking and other date collection. This should be done by clerks hired for this requirement. Yes, there will be some costs, but it should prevent losing teachers and the cost of replacing teachers is expensive.

Teacher shortage – Consider half days for teachers that want to cut their hours. Benefits would be adjusted accordingly.

Salaries – Order a comparative study of all employee positions, increase salaries where needed. Also raise substitute pay as they have not had one for 5 years.

Internet – Improve as it is down as much as a couple of days and slow other times and yet the students need to access to work on their assignments or tests.

Water faucets – Many of the schools I substitute at have the old style faucets that is supposed to cut off automatically, but doesn’t. Replace them to save uncounted gallons of water it will pay for itself in short time.
